✧ I bought for the Messenger of God ﷺ a numruqah (cushion) and placed it for him, and it was as though he disliked that. ʻĀʼishah said: I seek refuge in God from the anger of God and the anger of His Messenger. He said: What is this, O ʻĀʼishah? She said: So that when someone enters upon you or a delegation comes to you [it may be used]. He said: O ʻĀʼishah, the makers of these images will be punished with a punishment with which no one in the worlds will be punished. It will be said to them: Bring to life what you have created.
