✧ The site of the Prophet's mosque ﷺ belonged to Banu al-Najjar. In it there were palm trees, cultivated land, and graves from the graves of the Jahiliyyah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to them: 'Sell it to me.' They said: 'We seek no price for it except from Allah.' He said: So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered the palm trees to be cut down, the cultivated land to be ruined, and the graves to be dug up. Before that, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray in sheep enclosures and wherever the prayer overtook him.
