حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ:
بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ، وَأَنَا حَدِيثُ السِّنِّ، لَيْسَ لِي عِلْمٌ بِالْقَضَاءِ، قَالَ: فَضَرَبَ صَدْرِي، وَقَالَ: إِنَّ اللهَ سَيَهْدِي قَلْبَكَ وَيُثَبِّتُ لِسَانَكَ، قَالَ: فَمَا شَكَكْتُ فِي قَضَاءٍ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ بَعْدَهُ.

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ sent me to Yemen while I was young in age and had no knowledge of judging. He said: So he struck my chest and said: “God will guide your heart and make firm your tongue.” He said: After that, I never doubted in any judgment between two people.
