✧ Abd al-Aziz b. Suhayb from Anas

حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:

خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ، فَعَرَضَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَتَى تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ ؟ فَقَالَ: وَمَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا ؟ فَقَالَ: لَا غَيْرَ أَنِّي أُحِبُّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ، قَالَ: فَأَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الصَّلَاةَ، قَالَ: أَيْنَ السَّائِلُ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ ؟ قَالَ: فَجَاءَ فَقَامَ، فَقَالَ: يَا هَذَا، قَالَ أَنَسٌ: وَغُلَامٌ مِنْ دَوْسٍ أَنَا وَهُوَ سَوَاءٌ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: إِنْ يَطُلْ بِهَذَا الْغُلَامِ الْعُمُرُ فَلَمْ يَمُتْ هَرِمًا حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to the prayer, and a man intercepted him and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, when will the Hour come?' He said: 'What have you prepared for it?' He said: 'Nothing except that I love Allah and His Messenger.' He said: 'Then you will be with those you love.' When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished the prayer, he said: 'Where is the one who asked about the Hour?' He said: He came and stood. He said: 'O this one.' Anas said: 'And a boy from Daws, he and I were the same age.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'If this boy lives a long life, he will not die of old age until the Hour comes.'
