حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ
كَانَ بِالْبَقِيعِ، فَنَادَى رَجُلٌ: يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ، فَالْتَفَتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ: لَسْتُ إِيَّاكَ أَعْنِي، فَقَالَ: سَمُّوا بِاسْمِي وَلَا تَكْتَنُوا بِكُنْيَتِي

✧ He was in al-Baqīʿ when a man called out, “O Abū al-Qāsim!” The Messenger of God ﷺ turned around, and the man said, “I did not mean you.” He said, “Name yourselves with my name, but do not use my kunya.”
