✧ The excellence of Abdullah bin Harâm

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

«جِيءَ بِأَبِي قَتِيلًا يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَجَعَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ أُخْتُهُ تَبْكِيهِ» فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَبْكِيهِ مَا زَالَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تُظِلُّهُ بِأَجْنِحَتِهَا حَتَّى رُفِعَ»

Translation

✧ My father was brought slain on the day of Uhud, and his sister Fatimah began to weep over him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not weep over him; the angels kept shading him with their wings until he was raised."
