✧ We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a funeral procession. When we reached Baqi' al-Gharqad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat down and we sat with him. He took a stick and began to scratch the ground with it, then raised his head and said: 'There is none among you, no soul that is breathed, but Allah has known its place in Paradise and its place in Hell, and whether it is wretched or blessed.' A man from the group stood up and said: 'Should we then abandon deeds and rely upon our book? For whoever among us is of the people of happiness will be facilitated to its deeds, and whoever is of the people of wretchedness will go to wretchedness.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Rather, act, for everyone is facilitated. Whoever is of the people of happiness will be facilitated to its deeds, and whoever is of the people of wretchedness will be facilitated to its deeds.'
