حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:
آخِرُ نَظْرَةٍ نَظَرْتُهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، كَشَفَ السِّتَارَةَ يَوْمَ تُوُفِّيَ، فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى وَجْهِهِ كَأَنَّهُ وَرَقَةُ مُصْحَفٍ، ثُمَّ أَشَارَ إِلَى النَّاسِ أَنِ امْكُثُوا - وَأَرْخَى السِّجْفَ، وَتُوُفِّيَ مِنْ آخِرِ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ - وَهُمْ صُفُوفٌ خَلْفَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ
Translation

✧ The last look I had of the Messenger of God ﷺ was when he lifted the curtain on the day he died, and I looked at his face as if it were a page of a mushaf, then he signaled to the people to stay—and he let down the curtain, and he died at the end of that day—while they were in rows behind Abu Bakr.
