✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said during the illness in which he died: Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer. Aishah said: Abu Bakr is a tender-hearted man, and when he stands in your place, softness will overcome him. The Prophet ﷺ said: You are the female companions of Joseph. Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer. So Abu Bakr led the prayer, and the Prophet ﷺ prayed behind him, seated.
