حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّهُ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أُعْطِيتُ الْكَوْثَرَ، فَإِذَا نَهَرٌ يَجْرِي وَلَمْ يُشَقَّ شَقًّا، فَإِذَا حَافَتَاهُ قِبَابُ اللُّؤْلُؤِ، فَضَرَبْتُ بِيَدِي إِلَى تُرْبَتِهِ فَإِذَا مِسْكَةٌ ذَفِرَةٌ، وَإِذَا حَصَاهُ اللُّؤْلُؤُ

Translation

✧ He recited this verse: “Indeed, We have granted you al-Kawthar.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “I was given al-Kawthar, and behold, it is a river flowing without having been dug. Its two banks are domes of pearl. I struck my hand into its soil, and behold, it was pungent musk, and its pebbles were pearls.”
