حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَادَ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ: يَا خَالُ، قُلْ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، فَقَالَ: خَالٌ أَمْ عَمٌّ ؟ قَالَ: لَا، بَلْ خَالٌ، وَقَالَ: خَيْرٌ لِي أَنْ أَقُولَهَا ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited a man from the Ansar and said: O maternal uncle, say: There is no god but Allah. He said: A maternal uncle or a paternal uncle? He said: No, rather a maternal uncle. And he said: Is it better for me to say it? He said: Yes.
