✧ I never prayed behind anyone whose prayer was more concise than the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while being complete. His prayer was moderate, and Abu Bakr’s prayer was moderate. When ʿUmar came, he lengthened the dawn prayer. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Allah hears the one who praises Him,” he stood until we would say, “He has made a mistake,” then he prostrated, and he sat between the two prostrations until we would say, “He has made a mistake.”
