✧ A son was born to me tonight, and I named him after my father Ibrahim. Then I handed him over to Umm Sayf, the wife of a blacksmith in Madinah. In the hadith of Shayban: He set out to visit him. In the hadith of Hudba: The Messenger of God ﷺ set out to visit him, and I followed him. We came to Abu Sayf while he was blowing into his bellows, and the house was filled with smoke. I hurried ahead of the Messenger of God ﷺ and said: O Abu Sayf, the Messenger of God has come. So he stopped. The Messenger of God ﷺ called for the child, embraced him, and said whatever God willed that he should say. He said: I saw him after that as he was breathing his last in the presence of the Messenger of God ﷺ. In the hadith of Hudba: The eye of the Messenger of God shed tears. In the hadith of Shayban: The eyes of the Messenger of God shed tears. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: The eye weeps and the heart grieves, but we do not say anything except what pleases our Lord. In the hadith of Shayban: By God, O Ibrahim, we are indeed grieved by you. In the hadith of Hudba: And we are indeed grieved by you, O Ibrahim.
