✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: 'A boy was born to me tonight, and I named him after my father Ibrahim ﷺ. Then I handed him to a woman called Umm Sayf, the wife of a blacksmith called Abu Yusuf.' He went off and I followed him. We came to Abu Yusuf, and the house was full. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for the infant, embraced him, and said what Allah willed he should say. Anas said: 'I saw him struggling for breath, and the eyes of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ filled with tears. He said: "The eye weeps and the heart grieves, but we say only what pleases our Lord. By Allah, O Ibrahim, we are saddened by you."'
