✧ Umm Hufayd, my maternal aunt, daughter of al-Harith, gave the Messenger of God ﷺ a gift of clarified butter, dried curd, and dabb lizards. The Messenger of God ﷺ called for them, and they were eaten on his table, but he left them as if he found them distasteful. If they were forbidden, they would not have been eaten on the table of the Messenger of God ﷺ, nor would he have commanded eating them.
