حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَرَّ بِحِمَارٍ يُدَخِّنُ مَنْخِرَاهُ، قَدْ وُسِمَ فِي وَجْهِهِ، فَقَالَ: أَلَمْ أَلْعَنْ مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا ؟ أَلَا لَا يُوسَمَنَّ فِي الْوَجْهِ، وَلَا يُضْرَبَنَّ فِي الْوَجْهِ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ passed by a donkey whose nostrils were smoking, having been branded on its face. He said: “Did I not curse the one who did this? Indeed, let no one brand on the face, nor strike on the face.”
