حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ:
أَفَاضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ عَرَفَةَ وَعَلَيْهِ السَّكِينَةُ، وَأَمَرَ بِالسَّكِينَةِ، وَأَوْضَحَ فِي وَادِي مُحَسِّرٍ، وَقَالَ: خُذُوا مَنَاسِكَكُمْ، فَإِنِّي لَا أَدْرِي لَعَلَّكُمْ لَا تَلْقَوْنِي بَعْدَ عَامِكُمْ أَوْ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا، وَرَمَى بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed from ʿArafah with tranquility, and he commanded tranquility. He hastened in Wādī Muḥassir and said: “Take your rites from me, for I do not know—perhaps you will not meet me after this year of yours or this day of yours.” And he threw pebbles like the small pebbles used for throwing.
