✧ When the emigrants who had crossed the sea returned to the Messenger of God ﷺ, he said: Will you not tell of the wonders you saw in the land of Abyssinia? Some youths among them said: O Messenger of God, while we were sitting, an old woman from among their old women passed by carrying a water jar on her head. She passed by a young man of theirs, and he placed one of his hands between her shoulders and pushed her, so she fell on her knees and her jar broke. When she rose, she turned to him and said: You will know, O treacherous one, when God sets up the Footstool and gathers the first and the last, and the hands and feet speak of what they used to earn, then you will know how your affair and my affair will be before Him tomorrow. He said: The Messenger of God ﷺ said: She spoke the truth, indeed she spoke the truth. How can God sanctify a people whose weak are not protected from their strong?
