حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
نَادِ يَا عُمَرُ فِي النَّاسِ: أَنَّهُ مَنْ مَاتَ يَعْبُدُ اللهَ مُخْلِصًا مِنْ قَلْبِهِ أَدْخَلَهُ اللهُ الْجَنَّةَ، وَحَرَّمَ عَلَيْهِ النَّارَ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَفَلَا أُبَشِّرُ النَّاسَ ؟ قَالَ: لَا، لَا يَتَّكِلُوا

✧ Call out, O Umar, among the people: that whoever dies worshipping God sincerely from his heart, God will admit him to Paradise and forbid him from the Fire. He said: Umar said, "O Messenger of God, shall I not give the people glad tidings?" He said, "No, lest they rely on it."
