حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْغَافِرِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

" لَيَأْخُذَنَّ الرَّجُلُ بِيَدِ أَبِيهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَلَيُقَطِّعَنَّهُ النَّارَ، يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ، فَيُنَادَى أَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ لَا يَدْخُلُهَا مُشْرِكٌ، أَلَا إِنَّ اللهَ قَدْ حَرَّمَ الْجَنَّةَ عَلَى كُلِّ مُشْرِكٍ، فَيَقُولُ: رَبِّ أَبِي، رَبِّ أَبِي، رَبِّ أَبِي. قَالَ: فَيُحَوَّلُ فِي صُورَةٍ قَبِيحَةٍ وَرِيحٍ مُنْتِنَةٍ فَيَتْرُكُهُ

Translation

✧ A man will certainly take his father by the hand on the Day of Resurrection, and the Fire will certainly cut him off (i.e., prevent him), wanting to enter him into Paradise. It will be called out: "Paradise is not entered by a polytheist. Indeed, Allah has forbidden Paradise to every polytheist." He will say: "My Lord, my father; my Lord, my father; my Lord, my father." He (the Prophet) said: "Then he will be transformed into an ugly form and a stinking odor, and he will leave him."
