حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيِّ، عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ:

قُلْنَ النِّسَاءُ: غَلَبَنَا عَلَيْكَ الرِّجَالُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَاجْعَلْ لَنَا يَوْمًا، قَالَ: فَوَعَدَهُنَّ يَوْمًا، فَجِئْنَ فَوَعَظَهُنَّ، وَقَالَ لَهُنَّ فِيمَا قَالَ لَهُنَّ: مَا مِنْكُنَّ مِنِ امْرَأَةٍ تُقَدِّمُ ثَلَاثَةً مِنْ وَلَدِهَا إِلَّا كَانُوا لَهَا حِجَابًا مِنَ النَّارِ ؟ قَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَاثْنَيْنِ ؟ فَقَدْ مَاتَ لَهَا اثْنَانِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " وَاثْنَيْنِ

✧ The women said, "The men have overwhelmed us with your company, O Messenger of Allah, so set aside a day for us." He promised them a day. They came, and he preached to them and said among other things: "There is no woman among you who sends ahead three of her children except that they will be a barrier for her from the Fire." A woman said, "O Messenger of Allah, and two?" for she had lost two. The Prophet ﷺ said, "And two."
