✧ Go out and call among the people: Whoever bears witness that there is no god but God, Paradise is assured for him. He said: I went out, and Umar b. al-Khattab met me and said: What is the matter with you, Abu Bakr? I said: The Messenger of God ﷺ told me: Go out and call among the people that whoever bears witness that there is no god but God, Paradise is assured for him. Umar said: Return to the Messenger of God ﷺ, for I fear that they will rely on it. So I returned to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he said: What brought you back? I informed him of Umar’s words. He said: He is right.
