✧ The Dabb Lizard

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هَارُونَ الْعَبْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ:
كُنَّا مَعْشَرَ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ لَأَنْ يُهْدَى إِلَى أَحَدِنَا ضَبٌّ مَشْوِيٌّ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ دَجَاجَةٍ
Translation
✧ We, the companions of Muhammad ﷺ, would prefer that one of us be gifted a roasted dabb lizard over a chicken.
