✧ The Dabb Lizard

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ، أَوْ غَيْرِهِ - شَكَّ مَعْمَرٌ - مِنَ الشِّيُوخِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يَقُولُ:
أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِضَبٍّ، فَقَالَ: تَاهَ سِبْطٌ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِمَّنْ غَضِبَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ، فَإِنْ يَكُ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَهُوَ هَذَا
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ was brought a dabb lizard, and he said: "A tribe of the Children of Israel, among those upon whom God was angry, went astray. If it is in the earth, then it is this."
