عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ بَنِي ضَمْرَةَ قَالَ:
لَمَّا قَدِمْتُ لِسَفَرِ الْجَارِ خَرَجَ عُمَرُ حَاجًّا أَوْ مُعْتَمِرًا، فَقَالَ: " انْطَلِقُوا بِنَا نَمُرُّ عَلَى الْجَارِ فَنَنْظُرَ إِلَى السُّفُنِ، وَنَحْمَدُ اللهَ الَّذِي يُسَيِّرُهَا "، قَالَ الضَّمْرِيُّ: فَأَفْرَدَنِي الْمَسِيرُ مَعَهُ فِي سَبْعَةِ نَفَرٍ، فَآوَانَا اللَّيْلُ إِلَى خَيْمَةِ أَعْرَابِيٍّ، قَالَ: فَإِذَا قِدْرٌ يَغُطُّ - يَعْنِي يَغْلِي - فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: " هَلْ مِنْ طَعَامٍ ؟ " قَالُوا: لَا، إِلَّا لَحْمَ ظَبْيٍ أَصَبْنَاهُ بِالْأَمْسِ، قَالَ: " فَقَرَّبُوهُ فَأَكَلَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ "
Translation
✧ When I set out for the al-Jar journey, Umar went out as a pilgrim for Hajj or Umrah. He said, "Come with us so we can pass by al-Jar and look at the ships, and praise God who moves them." Al-Damri said: He singled me out to travel with him among seven men. Night brought us to a Bedouin's tent, and there was a pot bubbling—meaning boiling. Umar said, "Is there any food?" They said, "No, except gazelle meat we obtained yesterday." He said, "Then bring it near," and he ate while he was in ihram.
