عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي صَالِحُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ، مَوْلَى الْأَنْصَارِ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:
خَرَجْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِالْحَرَمِ مِنَّا الْمُحْرِمُ، وَمِنَّا غَيْرُ الْمُحْرِمِ، وَرَأَيْتُ نَاسًا يَتَرَاءَوْنَ شَيْئًا، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: إِلَى أَيِّ شَيْءٍ تَنْظُرُونَ، فَسَكَتُوا عَنِّي، فَنَظَرْتُ، فَإِذَا أَنَا بِحِمَارِ وَحْشٍ فَأَسْرَجْتُ فَرَسِي، وَأَخَذْتُ الرُّمْحَ وَالسَّوْطَ، ثُمَّ رَكِبْتُ فَسَقَطَ مِنِّي السَّوْطُ حَيْثُ رَكِبْتُ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُمْ: نَاوِلُونِيهِ، فَقَالُوا: لَا نُعِينُكَ عَلَيْهِ بِشَيْءٍ، قَالَ: فَتَنَاوَلْتُهُ وَأَخَذْتُهُ، ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ مِنْ خَلْفِ أَكَمَةٍ فَطَعَنْتُهُ -، أَوْ قَالَ: عَقَرْتُهُ - قَالَ: فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: لَا يَصْلُحُ أَكْلُهُ، وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: يَصْلُحُ أَكْلُهُ، قَالَ: وَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَوْ قَالَ: فَأَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ أَمَامَنَا، فَقَالَ: " كُلُوهُ فَإِنَّهُ حَلَالٌ
Translation
✧ I went out with the Prophet ﷺ until when we were at the sanctuary, some of us were in ihram and some not. I saw people looking at something. I said: 'What are you looking at?' They were silent toward me. I looked, and there was a wild donkey. I saddled my horse and took the spear and the whip, then mounted. The whip fell from me when I mounted, so I said to them: 'Hand it to me.' They said: 'We will not help you with it in anything.' So I reached down and took it. Then I came upon it from behind a hill and stabbed it—or he said: killed it. Some of them said: 'It is not lawful to eat it,' and others said: 'It is lawful to eat it.' I went to the Messenger of God ﷺ—or he said: we went to the Messenger of God ﷺ while he was ahead of us—and he said: 'Eat it, for it is lawful.'
