Translation

✧ When Abu Bakr died, he was mourned. Umar said: "The Prophet ﷺ said: 'The deceased is tormented by the weeping of the living,'" but they refused to do anything but weep. Umar said to Hisham b. al-Walid: "Get up and bring out the women." Aisha said: "I will bring you out." Umar said: "Enter, for I have given you permission." He said: So he entered. Aisha said: "Are you going to bring me out, my son?" He said: "As for you, I have given permission." He said: He began to bring them out one woman at a time, striking them with the whip until he brought out Umm Farwa. He separated them, or he said: "He separated the wailing women."
