✧ The prayer over the child of adultery and the stoned adulterer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ أُخْبِرْتُ عَنْ عَنْبَسَةَ بْنِ سُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زُهَيْرٍ،
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى بِالْبَقِيعِ عَبْدًا أَسْوَدَ يُحْمَلُ مَيِّتًا فَقَالَ: " لِمَنْ يَحْمِلُهُ ؟ مَا هَذَا ؟ " قَالُوا: عَبْدٌ لِفُلَانٍ قَالَ: " فَمَا هُوَ " قَالُوا: أَخْبَثُ النَّاسِ وَأَسْرَقُهُ وَآبَقُهُ وَأَحْزَبُهُ فِي أَشْيَاءَ مِنَ الشَّرِّ يَذْكُرُونَهَا مِنْهُ، فَقَالَ: " عَلَيَّ بِسَيِّدِهِ " فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْهُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوًا مِمَّا ذُكِرَ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " هَلْ كَانَ يُصَلِّي ؟ " قَالُوا: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: " وَيَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ ؟ " قَالُوا: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنْ كَادَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تَحُولُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ آنِفًا " فَدَعَا حَدَّادًا فَنَزَعَ حَدِيدَهُ، ثُمَّ أُمِرَ بِهِ فَغُسِّلَ ثُمَّ كَفَّنَهُ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ saw in al-Baqīʿ a black slave carrying a dead person. He said: "Who is carrying him? What is this?" They said: A slave of so-and-so. He said: "What is he?" They said: The wickedest of people, the most thieving, the most runaway, and the most rebellious, among other things of evil they mentioned about him. He said: "Bring me his master." He asked him about him, and he mentioned similar to what was mentioned. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Was he praying?" They said: Yes. He said: "And did he bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah?" They said: Yes. He said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, the angels almost came between me and him just now." He called a blacksmith and had his iron removed, then ordered that he be washed, then shrouded from his own possessions, then prayed over him.
