عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ الْبَهْزِيِّ قَالَ: قُلْتُ:

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَيُّ اللَّيْلِ أَسْمَعُ ؟ قَالَ: جَوْفُ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرُ قَالَ: " ثُمَّ الصَّلَاةُ مَقْبُولَةٌ حَتَّى يَطْلُعَ الْفَجْرُ، ثُمَّ لَا صَلَاةَ حَتَّى تَكُونَ الشَّمْسُ قِيدَ رُمْحٍ أَوْ رُمْحَيْنِ، ثُمَّ لَا صَلَاةَ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ

Translation

✧ O Messenger of God, which part of the night is most heard? He said: "The middle of the latter part of the night." He said: "Then prayer is accepted until dawn rises. Then there is no prayer until the sun is a spear's length or two, then there is no prayer until the sun sets."
