عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَابِطٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ،
سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: مَا أَنْتَ ؟ قَالَ: " نَبِيٌّ " قَالَ: إِلَى مَنْ أُرْسِلْتَ ؟ قَالَ: " إِلَى الْأَحْمَرِ وَالْأَسْوَدِ " قَالَ: أَيُّ حِينٍ تُكْرَهُ الصَّلَاةُ ؟ قَالَ: مِنْ حِينِ تُصَلِّي الصُّبْحَ حَتَّى تَرْتَفِعَ الشَّمْسُ قِيدَ رُمْحٍ، وَمِنْ حِينِ تَصْفَرُّ الشَّمْسُ إِلَى غُرُوبِهَا قَالَ: فَأَيُّ الدُّعَاءِ أَسْمَعُ ؟ قَالَ: " شَطْرُ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرُ، وَأَدْبَارُ الْمَكْتُوبَاتِ " قَالَ: فَمَتَى غُرُوبُ الشَّمْسِ ؟ قَالَ: " مِنْ أَوَّلِ مَا تَصْفَرُّ الشَّمْسُ حِينَ تَدْخُلُهَا صُفْرَةٌ إِلَى حِينِ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ
Translation
✧ He asked the Prophet ﷺ, saying: "What are you?" He said: "A prophet." He said: "To whom were you sent?" He said: "To the red and the black." He said: "At what time is prayer disliked?" He said: "From the time you pray Subh until the sun rises a spear's length, and from when the sun turns yellow until its setting." He said: "Which supplication is most heard?" He said: "In the latter part of the night, and following the obligatory prayers." He said: "When is the sun's setting?" He said: "From the first moment the sun turns yellow—when yellowness enters it—until the sun sets."
