✧ A man prays in his house then catches the congregation

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْعَصْرِ أَيُعِيدُهَا إِذَا جَاءَ الْجَمَاعَةَ ؟ قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ: صَلِّ مَعَ الْقَوْمِ، فَإِنَّ صَلَاتَكَ مَعَهُمْ تَفْضُلُ صَلَاتَكَ وَحْدَكَ أَرْبَعًا وَعِشْرِينَ صَلَاةً، أَوْ بِضْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ صَلَاةً
Translation
✧ I asked him about Asr: should one repeat it when the congregation comes? Ma'mar said: Ibn al-Musayyib said: "Pray with the people, for your prayer with them is better than your prayer alone by twenty-four prayers, or twenty-some prayers."
