✧ A man prays in his house then catches the congregation

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ:
سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ ابْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ فِي بَيْتِي، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ فَوَجَدْتُ النَّاسَ يُصَلُّونَ، فَأَيَّتَهُمَا أَجْعَلُ صَلَاتِي ؟ قَالَ: وَذَاكَ إِلَيْكَ ؟ إِنَّمَا ذَاكَ إِلَى اللهِ
Translation
✧ A man asked Ibn al-Musayyib: "I prayed in my house, then I came and found the people praying. Which of the two should I make my prayer?" He said: "Is that up to you? That is only up to God."
