عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ، وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَخِي أَبِي ذَرٍّ، عَنِ الْأُمَرَاءِ إِذَا أَخَّرُوا الصَّلَاةَ، فَضَرَبَ رُكْبَتِي، فَقَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ عَنْ ذَلِكَ، فَفَعَلَ بِي كَمَا فَعَلْتُ بِكَ، وَضَرَبَ رُكْبَتِي، وَحَدَّثَنِي أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَفَعَلَ بِهِ كَمَا فَعَلَ بِي، وَضَرَبَ رُكْبَتَهُ كَمَا ضَرَبَ رُكْبَتِي، فَقَالَ: صَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا قَالَ: " فَإِنْ أَدْرَكْتُمْ مَعَهُمْ فَصَلُّوا، وَلَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ إِنِّي قَدْ صَلَّيْتُ فَلَا يُصَلِّي
Translation
✧ I asked Abd Allah b. al-Samit, who was the nephew of Abu Dharr, about the rulers when they delay the prayer. He struck my knee and said: I asked Abu Dharr about that, and he did to me what I did to you, struck my knee, and told me that he asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he did to him what he did to me, struck his knee as he struck my knee, and said: Pray the prayer at its time. Then he said: If you catch it with them, then pray, and let none of you say: I have already prayed, so he should not pray.
