عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ:
دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي وَلَهُ نَفَسٌ، فَقَالَ: الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ قَالَ: " مَنْ صَاحِبُ الْكَلِمَاتِ ؟ " مَرَّتَيْنِ، فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ: " لَقَدِ ابْتَدَرَهَا اثْنَا عَشَرَ مَلَكًا أَيُّهُمْ يَسْبِقُ بِهَا، فَيُحَيِّي بِهَا اللهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى " قَالَ: " فَمَا لِي أَسْمَعُ نَفَسَكَ ؟ " قَالَ: أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ، فَأَسْرَعْتُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: إِذَا سَمِعْتَ الْإِقَامَةَ فَامْشِ عَلَى هِينَتِكَ، فَمَا أَدْرَكْتَ فَصَلِّ، وَمَا فَاتَكَ فَاقْضِ
Translation
✧ A man entered while the Prophet ﷺ was praying, and he was out of breath. He said: 'Praise be to Allah, much, good and blessed in it.' When the Prophet ﷺ finished his prayer, he said: 'Who is the speaker of these words?' twice. A man stood up to him and said: 'I am, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'Twelve angels raced to it, which of them would ascend with it, and thereby greet Allah, the Blessed and Exalted.' He said: 'Why do I hear your breath?' He said: 'The prayer was called, so I hurried.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'When you hear the iqamah, walk at your normal pace. What you catch, pray; and what you miss, complete.'
