عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ:
مَوَاقِيتُ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: مَوَاقِيتُ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ: احْضُرْ مَعِيَ الصَّلَاةَ الْيَوْمَ وَغَدًا فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ حِينَ زَاغَتِ الشَّمْسُ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ فَعَجَّلَهَا، ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ حِينَ دَخَلَ اللَّيْلُ، حِينَ أَفْطَرَ الصَّائِمُ، وَأَمَّا الْعَتَمَةُ فَلَا أَدْرِي مَتَى صَلَّاهَا، قَالَ غَيْرُ عَطَاءٍ: حَتَّى غَابَ الشَّفَقُ، قَالَ عَطَاءٌ: ثُمَّ صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ حِينَ طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ مِنَ الْغَدِ، فَلَمْ يُصَلِّهَا حَتَّى أَبْرَدَ، قُلْتُ: الْإِبْرَادُ الْأَوَّلُ ؟ قَالَ: بَعْدُ وَبَعْدُ مُمْسِيًا قَالَ: ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يُؤَخِّرُهَا، قُلْتُ: أَيَّ تَأْخِيرٍ ؟ قَالَ: مُمْسِيًا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ الشَّمْسَ صُفْرَةٌ قَالَ: ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ حِينَ غَابَ الشَّفَقُ قَالَ: قَالَ: وَلَا أَدْرِي أَيَّ وَقْتٍ صَلَّى الْعَتَمَةَ، قَالَ غَيْرُهُ: صَلَّى لِثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ، قَالَ عَطَاءٌ: ثُمَّ صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ حِينَ أَسْفَرَ فَأَسْفَرَهَا جِدًّا، قُلْتُ: أَيَّ حِينٍ ؟ قَالَ: قَبْلَ حِينِ تَفْرِيطِهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَحِينَ طُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: أَيْنَ الَّذِي سَأَلَنِي عَنْ وَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ يَنْبَغِي ؟ فَأُتِيَ بِهِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: أَحَضَرْتَ مَعِيَ الصَّلَاةَ الْيَوْمَ وَأَمْسِ ؟ قَالَ: فَصَلِّهَا مَا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ. قَالَ: ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلِيٌّ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي لَأَظُنُّهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّيهَا فِيمَا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ - يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ
Translation
✧ Prayer times. He said: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: Prayer times. He said: Attend the prayer with me today and tomorrow. So he prayed Zuhr when the sun had declined. He said: Then he prayed Asr early. Then he prayed Maghrib when night entered, when the fasting person breaks his fast. As for Isha, I do not know when he prayed it. Someone other than Ata said: Until the twilight had disappeared. Ata said: Then he prayed Fajr when dawn rose. Then he prayed Zuhr the next day, but he did not pray it until it had cooled. I said: The first cooling? He said: Later, and later, in the evening. He said: Then he prayed Asr after that, delaying it. I said: What delay? He said: In the evening before the sun turned yellow. He said: Then he prayed Maghrib when the twilight had disappeared. He said: He said: And I do not know what time he prayed Isha. Someone else said: He prayed in the first third of the night. Ata said: Then he prayed Fajr when it had brightened, and he brightened it greatly. I said: What time? He said: Before the time of neglecting it, before sunrise was due. Then the Prophet ﷺ said: Where is the one who asked me about the time of the prayer that is proper? So he was brought, and the Prophet ﷺ said: Did you attend the prayer with me today and yesterday? He said: So pray it between those times. He said: Then Ali turned and said: I think he used to pray it between those times — meaning the Prophet ﷺ.
