What Has Been Related About Supporting Oneself During Prostration

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلاَنَ عَنْ سُمَىٍّ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

اشْتَكَى بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَشَقَّةَ السُّجُودِ عَلَيْهِمْ إِذَا تَفَرَّجُوا فَقَالَ اسْتَعِينُوا بِالرُّكَبِ

Abī ʿAyyāsh, as Wuhayb said from Ibn ʿAjlān, and this is the correct (ṣawāb) version. Ibn Jurayj said: I was informed from Sumayy, from al-Nuʿmān b. Abī ʿAyyāsh, also as a mursal report. It is also said that it is from Ṣafwān b. ʿĪsā, from Ibn ʿAjlān, from Sumayy, from al-Nuʿmān b. Abī ʿAyyāsh, as a mursal report.
