machine translationṬalḥah b. ʿAbd al-Malik al-Aylī narrates it from al-Qāsim from ʿĀʾishah. Mālik b. Anas related it from him, and there is no disagreement about it from him. ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUmar also narrated it from Ṭalḥah b. ʿAbd al-Malik, and there is disagreement about him. Yaḥyā al-Qaṭṭān, ʿAbdullāh b. Idrīs, ʿAbdullāh b. Numayr, Ibn Usāmah and Muḥammad b. Bishr narrated it from ʿUbaydullāh from Ṭalḥah b. ʿAbd al-Malik from al-Qāsim from ʿĀʾishah. There is disagreement about ʿAbdullāh b. Numayr: Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal narrated it from Ibn Numayr from Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd al-Anṣārī from Ṭalḥah b. ʿAbd al-Malik, but a group of trustworthy narrators (thiqāt) contradicted him, among them Abū Bakr b. Abī Shaybah and others, and they narrated it from ʿAbdullāh b. Numayr from ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUmar from Ṭalḥah b. ʿAbd al-Malik from al-Qāsim from ʿĀʾishah. Ibn ʿUyaynah also narrated it from ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUmar, and there is disagreement about him as well: Abū Muslim al-Mustamlī narrated it from Ibn ʿUyaynah from ʿUbaydullāh from Nāfiʿ from al-Qāsim from ʿĀʾishah, but al-Ḥumaydī and Ibrāhīm b. Bashshār contradicted him and narrated it from Ibn ʿUyaynah from ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUmar from al-Qāsim. Likewise ʿAbdullāh b. Rajāʾ al-Makkī narrated it from ʿUbaydullāh from al-Qāsim. This hadith was also narrated by Yaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr and Ayyūb al-Sakhtiyānī, and there is disagreement about them: ʿAlī b. al-Mubārak narrated it from Yaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr and Ayyūb from al-Qāsim from ʿĀʾishah from the Prophet ﷺ; ʿUthmān b. ʿUmar said that from him. Wakīʿ contradicted him, narrating it from ʿAlī b. al-Mubārak from Yaḥyā alone, from al-Qāsim from ʿĀʾishah from the Prophet ﷺ. Abān al-ʿAṭṭār contradicted him, narrating it from Yaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr from Muḥammad b. Abān from al-Qāsim from ʿĀʾishah, and he traced it back to the Prophet (marfūʿ). Likewise al-Awzāʿī narrated it from Muḥammad b. Abān. Wuhayb and Ḥammād b. Zayd narrated it from Ayyūb from al-Qāsim from ʿĀʾishah as her own statement (mawqūf). The correct version is what Mālik and those who followed him narrated from Ṭalḥah b. ʿAbd al-Malik.
