"We were with the Prophet ﷺ on journey when the camel that belonged to some people ran away and they did not have a horse. So a man shot it with an arrow and Allah stopped it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Of these beasts there are some that are as wild as wild animals. So if one of them does this, then treat it similarly.'"

machine translationAbū al-Aḥwaṣ erred in this when he said "from his father, from his grandfather." Al-Bukhārī in the Ṣaḥīḥ omitted the words "from his father," so it became "from ʿAbāyah, from his grandfather Rāfiʿ," and this is the correct version.
in جامع الترمذي, p. 1583 - Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī
machine translationAl-Thawrī and others narrated this hadith and did not say in it "from his father." I said: Which of the two is more sound? He said: Al-Thawrī is more retentive (aḥfaẓ).
