What scholars said about it

In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

machine translationIt meets the conditions of the two Shaykhs up to Abū Labīd Lamāzah b. Zabbār, the narrator from ʿUqbah, and he is trustworthy (thiqah), as will come.

    in جامع الترمذي, p. 1317
  • Abū Zakariyyā Yaḥyá b. Sharaf al-Nawawī

machine translationThe chain of al-Tirmidhī is good (ḥasan), and the chain of the others is good (ḥasan), so it is a sound (ṣaḥīḥ) hadith.

    in جامع الترمذي, p. 1317
  • Shafiʿī

machine translationSuspended sale and suspended purchase are both invalid.

    in جامع الترمذي, p. 1317
  • al-Tirmidhi

machine translationAl-Khaṭṭābī mentioned that both reports are not connected, because in one of them, the report of Ḥakīm b. Ḥizām, there is an unknown man whose identity is not known, and in the report of ʿUrwah, the tribe narrated it to him. What is of this kind of transmission does not establish proof.

  • Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī
