What scholars said about it

In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

  • Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī

machine translationDisagreement does not necessitate weakness if all the narrators are trustworthy (thiqāt). In that case the narration of the one with the best memory and greatest precision is judged authentic (ṣaḥīḥ), and the narration of the others, in relation to it, is anomalous (shādhdh).

    in جامع الترمذي, p. 1313
  • al-Albani

machine translationHe (Abū Dāwūd) remained silent about it [and he said in his letter to the people of Mecca: everything I have remained silent about is acceptable (ṣāliḥ)].
