حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ
أَنَّ شَيْخًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ ابْنِي مَاتَ، فَمَا لِي مِنْ مِيرَاثِهِ ؟ فَقَالَ: " لَكَ سُدُسٌ "، فَلَمَّا أَدْبَرَ دَعَاهُ فَقَالَ: " لَكَ سُدُسٌ آخَرُ "، فَلَمَّا وَلَّى دَعَاهُ فَقَالَ: السُّدُسُ الْآخَرُ طُعْمَةٌ
Translation

✧ An old man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of God, my son has died, what do I inherit from him? He said: You get one-sixth. When he turned away, he called him and said: You get another sixth. When he left, he called him and said: The other sixth is a gift.
