حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حُصَيْنٍ الْقَاضِي ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ أشْعَثَ بْنِ سَوَّارٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ثنا أَشْعَثُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنْ أشْعَثَ بْنِ سَوَّارٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَة قَالَ

أَحْرَمْتُ مِنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَعَلِيَّ وَفْرَةٌ مِنْ شَعَرٍ فَقَمِلْتُ وَأَخَذَنِي الصِّئْبَانُ فَرَآنِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «احْلِقِ احْلِقْ» فَحَلَقْتُ فَقَالَ «هَلْ مَعَكَ هَدْيٌ؟» قُلْتُ مَا أَجِدُهُ قَالَ «إِنَّهُ مَا اسْتَيْسَرَ» قُلْتُ مَا أَجِدُهُ قَالَ «فَصُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ أَوْ أَطْعِمْ سِتَّةَ مَسَاكِينٍ نِصْفَ صَاعٍ مِنْ بُرٍّ» قَالَ فَفِيَّ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مَرِيضًا أَوْ بِهِ أَذًى مِنْ رَأْسِهِ} «وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ ابْنِ فُضَيْلٍ»

✧ I entered iḥrām from al-Ḥudaybiyah while I had abundant hair, and I became infested with lice and small vermin took hold of me. The Prophet ﷺ saw me and said: “Shave! Shave!” So I shaved. He said: “Do you have a sacrificial animal with you?” I said, “I do not find one.” He said: “Even whatever is easy.” I said, “I do not find one.” He said: “Then fast three days, or feed six needy people, half a ṣāʿ of wheat.” He said: “Concerning me this verse was revealed: {And whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of his head}.” And the wording is from the ḥadīth of Ibn Fuḍayl.
