حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ دِرْهَمٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي كَعْبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَزْدِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:

أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَنَحْنُ نَبْنِي الْمَسْجِدَ، فَقَالَ: أَوْسِعُوهُ تَمْلَئُوهُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ came to us while we were building the mosque, and he said: “Make it spacious, and you will fill it.”
