✧ We came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to ask him for mounts. He said: 'By Allah, I will not provide you with mounts, and I have nothing to mount you on.' Then he was brought some camels and mounted us on three with white foreheads. When we returned, I said to my companions: 'By Allah, Allah will not bless us. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ swore that he would not provide us with mounts. Let us go back.' We said: 'O Messenger of Allah, you swore that you would not provide us with mounts.' He said: 'I did not carry you; nothing carried you except Allah. By Allah—if Allah wills—I do not swear an oath and then see something better than it except that I expiate my oath and do that which is better.'
