Translation

✧ Ibn ʿAbbās ؓ addressed us from the pulpit of Baṣra and said: O people, ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb ؓ stood among us and said: O people, indeed stoning is one of the limits set by God, so do not be deceived away from it. It is in the Book of God and the Sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ. The Messenger of God ﷺ stoned, Abu Bakr stoned, and I stoned.
