حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ هُبَيْرَةَ بْنَ يَرِيمَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا ؓ، يَقُولُ:
أُهْدِيَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حُلَّةُ حَرِيرٍ، فَبَعَثَ بِهَا إِلَيَّ، فَلَبِسْتُهَا، فَقَالَ لِي: إِنِّي لَا أَرْضَى لَكَ مَا أَكْرَهُ لِنَفْسِي، فَأَمَرَنِي فَشَقَقْتُهَا خُمُرًا بَيْنَ النِّسَاءِ
Translation

✧ A silk suit was gifted to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he sent it to me. I wore it, and he said to me: 'I am not pleased for you what I dislike for myself.' So he commanded me, and I tore it into head covers among the women.
