حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِالْبَاهِلِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بِشْرٍ سَمِعْتُ مُجَاهِدًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا يَقُولُ
أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِحُلَّةِ حَرِيرٍ، فَبَعَثَ بِهَا إِلَيَّ، فَلَبِسْتُهَا، فَرَأَيْتُ الْكَرَاهِيَةَ فِي وَجْهِهِ، فَأَمَرَنِي فَأَطَرْتُهَا خُمُرًا بَيْنَ النِّسَاءِ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was brought a silk suit, and he sent it to me. I wore it and saw dislike in his face, so he ordered me and I tore it into veils among the women.
