حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْحَشْرَجُ بْنُ نُبَاتَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُمْهَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سَفِينَةُ، قَالَ خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ:
" الْخِلَافَةُ فِي أُمَّتِي ثَلَاثُونَ سَنَةً، ثُمَّ يَكُونُ مُلْكٌ. ثُمَّ قَالَ سَفِينَةُ: امْسِكْ؛ خِلَافَةُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَخِلَافَةُ عُمَرَ ثِنْتَا عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً وَسِتَّةُ أَشْهُرٍ، وَخِلَافَةُ عُثْمَانَ ثِنْتَا عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً، ثُمَّ خِلَافَةُ عَلِيٍّ تَكْمِلَةُ الثَّلَاثِينَ. قُلْتُ: فَمُعَاوِيَةُ ؟ قَالَ: كَانَ أَوَّلَ الْمُلُوكِ
Translation

✧ The caliphate in my nation is thirty years, then there will be kingship.” Then Safinah said: “Hold on: the caliphate of Abu Bakr, and the caliphate of Umar – twelve years and six months, the caliphate of Uthman – twelve years, then the caliphate of Ali completes the thirty. I said: What about Mu'awiyah? He said: He was the first of the kings.
