حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، وَعَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، كِلَاهُمَا سَمِعَا الزُّهْرِيَّ، يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ، وَعَبْدُ اللهِ، ابْنَا مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِمَا

أَنَّ عَلِيًّا، ؓ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ يُفْتِي فِي الْمُتْعَةِ: انْظُرْ مَاذَا تُفْتِي ؟ فَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ نِكَاحِ الْمُتْعَةِ، وَعَنْ أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ

✧ That 'Ali ؓ said to a man who was giving a religious ruling permitting mut'ah: 'Look at what you are ruling! I bear witness that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade mut'ah marriage and eating the meat of domesticated donkeys.'
