حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ تَمَّامٍ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ
" نَهَى عَنِ الْوَسْمِ فِي الْوَجْهِ، قَالَ الْعَبَّاسُ: لَا أَسِمُ إِلَّا فِي آخِرِ عَظْمٍ، فَوَسَمَ فِي آخِرِ الْجَاعِرَتَيْنِ
Translation

✧ He forbade branding on the face. Al-ʿAbbās said: “I will brand only on the farthest part of the bone,” so he branded on the farthest part of the two protruding hip bones.
